Can Slurg Work

Talking about blogging to profit, bloggers want to do less (possibly do nothing) and make more. If that’s what in your mind, I don’t blame you, I want the same thing too.
To meet this desire, there comes many Wordpress plugins and tools to let you populate your blog sites with contents from other sites automatically. This looks like a great idea, but there is one problem, this approach is easy to be abused. In fact, it is now. This type of sites and tools behind it are call ed “slurg”, - blog spam.
Web communities have hated spam too much. If someone report a slurg site, Google will zero rank it. However, a zero rank site may not necessarily a bad one. It depends on what contents you are trying to build and weather or not you provide some value.
If you want to give it a try, here are some suggestions.
(1) Pickup a serious topic with solid resources. For example, if you want to build a Rich Internet Application (RIA) site with borrowed contents, consider getting syndication from aggregating such as http://weblogs.macromedia.com/ and http://www.riapedia.com/.
(2) You can extract articles and blogs based on their ranking and post. But you don’t want to submit yours to there. Someone will notice your practice and report you.
(3) It is better if can make the article selective, rather than including all from each site you targeting. You may have to modify the tools and plugins to make this happen.
(4) It’s said that might hurt the target site ranking as well. So don’t get contents from others of your own sites.
You should be able to make a few more bulks this way. But for serious income, a little hard work is required.
