Invite Alexa to Crawl Your Site

Alexa is a great tool to monitor and analyze website traffic. An Amazon.com company, Alexa provides traffic ranking service on the net. Alexa’s traffic rank along with Google rank are the most important factors determining your site’s value. The better the rank the more you get paid for advertising on your site.

Go to Alexa.com to check if your site had been indexed. If not, invite Alexa to crawl your site (http://www.alexa.com/site/help/webmasters/#crawl_site).

Alexa’s traffic rankings are based on the usage patterns of Alexa Toolbar users over a rolling 3 month period. The toolbar is a handy tool for checking and analyzing other websites, such as your competitor’s blog traffic.

Once you estibilished certain Alexa traffic rank, you may want to add one of Alexa Site Widgets to your site, such as Alexa Traffic Rank Button which shows updated traffic rank of your site.
